Classical music is nothing to cough at, it is often seen as a serious affair, with many dressing for the occasion. On Friday I went the Royal Festival Hall, London, to see Daniel Barenboim and the Berlin Staatskapelle. The performance of Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto was wonderfully sublime, whereas the critically successful performance of Schoenberg’s symphonic poem Pelleas und Melisande was not to my liking. But this post isn’t about reviewing the music, as I am no expert in this field and review by ‘professionals’ can be seen in related …

A Royal Business vs A Presidential Corporation

Job titles as I have found and as meaningful as they are meaningless. They appear to give status but often don’t reflect the a persons true importance and value, yet many define themselves by this title that has been bestowed upon them by their pay masters. Is this wrong? I’ll let you come to your own opinion on this matter. I really want to tackle the injustice of the British title against an American one.
The Americans with a Federal Republic kept to convention when they were dreaming up job …

So this morning I had the great idea of putting up content from my university days. I’m taking the gamble that the guys I worked with won’t mind in each instance. Having looked back at some of the work, it is questionable if I’ll open it all up as a resource as some is indeed old and total irrelevant.
Anyway back to the title. This was a study into student’s coffee consumption habits and how they could be marketed to with focused messaging that would change behaviour to boost consumption. Forget …

while I spoke about the beer in the memoirs post, I feel now I should extend beyond just beer and give you a flavour of the nightlife during my stay.
For me both Busan and Seoul both came alive at night, the streets seemed to fill with people, all of whom were reclaiming their lives as their own after a grueling day in the office. The lights of the city shone with a neon golden glisten, illuminating the streets that have no pavements, where the pedestrian reclaims the tarmac fearlessly. …

ambling on my way from London Bridge to Farringdon, my place of work; on mixed seasoned day, the type that can only happen in spring, I found my mind drifting, pleasured by walking at no particular speed or rhythm, except to the beat of mixed electronic infused music. As I caressed the Themes with my eyes, for the first time in a long time I felt at one, at total peace in a city that seldom has that to offer. It felt that for the brief 25 minute walk, London …

here is me thinking at time was a universal thing, that people understood by it’s simplicity, especially the even more explicit 24hr clock. Alas, I have been proven wrong again, as you may have read previously London Underground took the 24 hour clock, literally to mean that there can be hour 24 or as they like to write it 24:00 but the South Koreans at this cinema have taken it one step further. Please allow me to introduce on their behalf…. the 25th and 30 minute time, or as I …

last Friday I was at the so called silent rave inside Liverpool Street Station, thanks to being dragged down there by so Pro @calvinrobinson. Must admit, found it enjoyable, perplexing and striking at the same time and realise the power of Facebook, or at least the power of the Internet.
Silent rave where I got to put my playlist on and rock out to some funky Berlin beats, of course this was only after we all gathered (I’d guess at least 1500 people) in the station and waited for the …

Kids are getting dumber. Now of course for me to able to say this I am already being judgmental of others, even further to this I am actively dismissing their value and I don’t mean to be. I’m just seeing that the official government sanctioned trends are that populations are getting smarter, but each time the latest exam results are released the more I hear that it’s not the kids that are getting smarter but the exams easier. So in a giant leap of faith, which I have little will …

In light of the fact there is still is no concept behind this blog, I’m going to share with you the emotional roller coaster that is xbox all too famous red rings of death. To my dismay this occurred to me only a few hours ago, after having some strange picture issues, I decided to restart the machine…..bam!!! the dreaded lights, all red all flashing….that can’t be good. Slightly worried by this point I start from scratch….unplugging the xbox (and I mean every cable), I proceed to put it all …
