Classical music is nothing to cough at, it is often seen as a serious affair, with many dressing for the occasion. On Friday I went the Royal Festival Hall, London, to see Daniel Barenboim and the Berlin Staatskapelle. The performance of Beethoven’s First Piano Concerto was wonderfully sublime, whereas the critically successful performance of Schoenberg’s symphonic poem Pelleas und Melisande was not to my liking. But this post isn’t about reviewing the music, as I am no expert in this field and review by ‘professionals’ can be seen in related …

The Sitting – Picture of the week 2

A new week and a new picture, exciting times for us all. There are a few going up this week while I catch up but it’s all good. No more to say on this other than surfing that weekend was awesome fun, despite being blinded by the rain.

One Political Agenda

It’s 2010 and recently I’ve been thinking more about what seems like a shift in foreign policy and global politics. I love conspiracy theories, from aliens to JFK, the Beatles to 911. This post largely will centre around the theory that we are slowly entering a 5 state ruling political system. 1984, great book, great author and an interesting social commentary on what might come to pass. Extreme as 1984 is, the book worked so well because I could immerse myself in the belief that this isn’t too far removed …
