Ad Trafficking is a tough and often unappreciated job. This post is dedicated to the traffickers and their ability and skill when all is stacked against them and the sales devision are forever increasing the workload, overbooking inventory and chasing delivery in every instance. This infamous text from a “few good men” has been adapted and be spouted back at sales when they want the impossible.
“Son, we live in a world that has adservers, and those adservers have to be guarded by men with guns. Whose gonna do it? You? …

In the run up to the 2010 UK elections I thought I’d run a series of posts highlighting the major issues that the UK currently faces. First up and probably not for the last time, debt! If you are not alarmed by our national debt, then you should be (I also invite you to have a quick look at your bank balance to make sure it’s ok) it is up to you to pay it back.
£899 billion owed, so only £14,000 for every man women and child in the …

Watching the Winter Olympics has been a thrill a second and it is by far superior entertainment than the Summer Olympics. I admire each and everyone one of the athletes that have taken part in the challenging downhills, the enduring cross country, the elegance and brutality of skating on ice and so much more.
Maybe because I am watching on the BBC, who have progressively lost all real commercial and entertaining sporting events to Sky, do I have some skepticism about the sports they do bring. The Winter Olympics on the whole …

Job titles as I have found and as meaningful as they are meaningless. They appear to give status but often don’t reflect the a persons true importance and value, yet many define themselves by this title that has been bestowed upon them by their pay masters. Is this wrong? I’ll let you come to your own opinion on this matter. I really want to tackle the injustice of the British title against an American one.
The Americans with a Federal Republic kept to convention when they were dreaming up job …

I’m ill and i’m tired. Since the blog has been down for a while I’m totally out of the swing of things. Usually buzzing with things to share at the moment I can’t seem to find my groove. Last week I was down at FOWA learning loads of things I didn’t understand, meeting people who had conversations that were way above my head. I like to think that doesn’t happen that often but actually in some kind of strange way, I really enjoyed it. It’s good to know that what …

Motorways and what not. I sir, sit here on a jammed motorway for little reason than over crowding, poor drivers and unnecessary speed restrictions.
I’m on my back from Bristol to London travelling some 120 miles and for once I have sat my sorry arse on a packed bus, which is sweltering in the only way a British bus could. And as I watch the constant gaggle of cars amassing around our coach. I conclude as I have done countless times before that people really don’t know how to drive …

It’s Friday night and I have decided to pass on the alcohol for a while and last week I started my get over New York a Wedding and previously being a little unhealthy diet. It was when I was clothes shopping I realised I had gone up a jean size, so now plan to beat the weight off get back to fitting comfortably into 32″.
I hear about all these people on content diets and boy would I never want to be one of those people. My diet is consisting …

Politicians are a rare breed in society, with no other profession quite being able to match it in both power and influence. They are minor celebraties with director level stategic jobs, though it could be argued that really that PR for their office, nothing more and nothing less.
In answer to why they get it wrong so much of the time, is that they are all things above! A machine that mixes popularism with strategy and often without an indepth understanding of subject matter. Like small business owners they are …

staying at Radisson Royal York Brighton Hotel this past weekend for NC Summit was a mixed experience. Baring in mind this place is a 4 star hotel I did find many things to be less than desirable. Upon arrival the hotel staff seemed to ill prepared and unorganised to accommodate 12 people checking in at the same time. This is of course forgivable due to some legal requirements that hotel are forced to follow. So a light bad impression at the start of proceedings but not something I would have …
