A minor update on the site today with the meebo bar being put across the site. I have been meaning to do this for ages and now that the site is about trying to be more socially orientated, whatever that means, I thought this would be a timely addition to the site.
I’ll post the results of the interactions with the bar as time moves on. I really do wonder what difference it will make to the user (your) experience and if anyone will even use it. It is on the …

Yep that’s right folks überBusy is becoming ridiculously social and has got itself a Facebook fan page. I know! this could possibly be the most fantastic Facebook day in its and überBusy’s history. What will you get by becoming a fan of überBusy? well what do you want? Happy New Year Welcome 2010

A big happy New Year and momentous celebrations to all you folks out there where ever you be. Tis was a good year 2009, with 2010 being more exciting than I’m sure any of us can possibly imagine. It is the year where we all progress a few more steps, all become a little wiser, and definitely all become part of something more special.
A massive thanks to all those that supported me throughout this year and those that kept überBusy alive and well. You all know who you are!
As we …

Protecting Brands: Social media your brand can’t hide

Recently, I’ve been noticing brands that are trying too hard to protect an image that doesn’t quite fit with everything else they are trying to do. Protecting a brand is one thing but the rules around how a brand must be presented, even while under your control seems like a constraint too far. More so in the age of social media where the boundaries of brands and people connected to them become even more blurred.
IBM are one such brand, the rules governing how you can use their brand if you …

There is so many interesting things online. This particular 12 minute video filmed at FOWA London of Gary Vaynerchuk (@garyvee) letting loose with reality is excellent. I wish I had more to add but seriously nobody says it better. Watch it!

Now is the Time to Cash in on Your Passion by Gary Vaynerchuk from Carsonified on Vimeo.
Borrowed video from the awesome Carsonified .

So this morning I had the great idea of putting up content from my university days. I’m taking the gamble that the guys I worked with won’t mind in each instance. Having looked back at some of the work, it is questionable if I’ll open it all up as a resource as some is indeed old and total irrelevant.
Anyway back to the title. This was a study into student’s coffee consumption habits and how they could be marketed to with focused messaging that would change behaviour to boost consumption. Forget …

Otherwise known as “Launching the Prius Diesel into the UK market while establishing awareness of Toyota as an environmentally friendly performance brand – Macro analysis of the Automobile Industry and Micro analysis of Toyota.”
Yes quite possibly the longest title of any of my posts now and in the future. I choose it because I thought it time to share a document that I worked solidly on for 3 months, with one goal in mind, and that was to write the best damn Integrated Marketing Communications project I could. Why am …

I watched two fascinating videos which emerged from TED. The first by Dan Ariely, entitled “Are we in control of our own decisions?” and the second is by Malcolm Gladwell who talks naturally on spaghetti sauce.
Both in there very own way tackled a question which is increasingly becoming interesting to me as I give it more thought and that is the question of choice, destiny and if what we choose is really our choice. It’s probabaly best at this point for you to watch the videos to get the …

having noticed that my blogging time is ever being cut shorter, I have come to the realisation that writing for various blogs, while loads of fun is almost pointless without syndication. I’d like überbusy to be the hub of everything I write online so I have decided that although I may first write something on Sporkings and WebMarketR, I will from now on re post it on überbusy.
This was a service update, presented to you by überbusy me :)

I was a student when the dot com bubble burst and as such I guess it kind of passed me by, not in the sense that I ignored it, but more in the sense that it wasn’t impacting my life. In hindsight I wish that my professors were a little more on it and shoved it in our faces, but like everyone else who weren’t directly involved its hard to grasp how big the storm is when you sit in the middle. Now I get the impression that people learned …
