It has been a busy year for me personally in 2011 and I would go as far as to say it has been one my favorite years in the history of me. In every way I take the quote of reality being what you perceive forward, as it served me well recently and I am sure will continue to serve me in the future. Great things to come in 2012 I’m sure; but before we get that far, time to contemplate a little over the year that has just passed.
A round up of überBusy 2011 – Top 10 most popular posts:
10. The Finished Chair- After months of building this chair is the very essence of a new life and has since fueled a slight obsession with furniture, especially any that end up being sat on.

9. March going on april, seeing it out till may – Deciding that my life needed a change of pace than what London offered, I quit my job of more than 3 years and a good position to fulfill a dream long held inside. 8 months later I have few regrets and it is only getting better. In this post I’m particularly proud of the video to accompany the post; I truly think it captures some of the magic in life.
8. My Masters Thesis for you all to read and one of my earliest posts on überBusy. The Integrated Marketing Communications Strategy for the Lauch of a Toyota Diesel Prius. I still think it is a body of good work, the digital element is much to be desired but if I were still a student looking for examples of work, this would have really helped me.
7. Banana Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe and Guide anyone? Guess there are a few of you out there that like to bake. My advice go easy on the sugar unlike me. They really did go down well at the office.
6. Miami to london, über fun times Not sure why this got the traffic it did but if you ever want to read about a brief stay in Miami then check it out. It really wasn’t as bad as I remember it! But then again the sun seems far away at this time of the year.
5. A broad explanation on why online advertisers are recording the wrong metrics. Luckily the internet has come a long way and the future like promising. Of course since I wrote this piece I now work for a company that supports many of my ideas on how advertising success should be measured. Perhaps this was not all chance and luck, in which ever case, my joy and interest in the industry does not waiver and the relentless pursuit of making the internet richer in content and fund those behind that content continues. Ads don’t have to be a bad thing.
4. Who owns the Bank of England – Moving up a few places from last year, I guess the curious become more curious and the banking crisis perhaps fuels this all a little more. Remember conspiracy theories can sometimes get a little silly but this was fun to write and research.
3. Crazy statistics from around the globe – This is an old post from 2008, I’m going to do a big update on this, plus I am always looking for more, so get commenting.
2. Consumer Behaviour In The Coffee Market – Not moving from 2nd place all year, the coffee post keeps being found. From my university days, a report into why people drink coffee. The results didn’t just languish around taste!
1. Ode to an Ad Trafficker – For the second year running this has been the top post on überBusy. I still salute the often forgotten but always seen profession – Go AdOPs teams!
For those interested 2010 results can be revisited.
