I started this blog some time a couple of years ago with only a few things in mind. The first being that I wanted to understand the backend, tech side of things. I held the position in my job of an account/project manager for web development who was largely clueless about web development, so this project was about getting to grips with trying to understand more about what our developers were doing. My lesson from this, is that I’m still rubbish at the basics of coding and respect developers even more now than before. I am however taking up the challenge of learning this basics again and will be applying them to this blog piece by piece. Incidentally, after 16 months of work in the development team, I have withdrawn the hands on role, to be more commercially active.
Now with some distance from the day to day development activities. I am again ready this time to take more seriously the challenge of coding. My first major project is to remove the static twitter feed that was hacked in by @cr as a favour. Long broken I will correct it with something far more interesting. Other plans are to re-incorporate the in famous logo. That I suggest will take considerably longer.
The second reason for the blog was to talk about a great many things. I hope that is at least is more successful than my code.
