in times of trouble we look to the sky and pray (hope), well the world is now in trouble and Barack Obama is the man where all hope rests. For the first time in my life, I’m going to read a ‘biography’ of an incoming any president. For the first time I’m actually excited about American politics, for the first time I want to believe. Living in Britain, I’m forced by the bias British Media to recognise that American is the ultimate force behind this country and our very existence is to stand ‘shoulder to shoulder’ with them. No problems there, I have nothing against Americans; I’m more concerned with why the British Media (mainly the TV news media) are so American Focused, when Britain is technically Part of a Union of Sovereign States, and the only thing I’ll hear about what is happening in those member countries is if a few hundred people die en mass or… nope… that’s the only time. Anyway I will rant about this some other time.
Getting back to the point, I will be reading the Audacity of hope over the next month, hopefully will get it done within the first month of Obama’s reign. Even after the first few pages, I must admit it has an uplifting tone, not that I expected negativity, but still nice to read something that lends more support to hope. I will write a review of how I found the book as soon as I’m done, but until then, I am daring to hope, wanting to dream and wait with baited breath that the single most important man in the world can change it for the good for all life on this earth.
