dumb kids and politics

Kids are getting dumber. Now of course for me to able to say this I am already being judgmental of others, even further to this I am actively dismissing their value and I don’t mean to be. I’m just seeing that the official government sanctioned trends are that populations are getting smarter, but each time the latest exam results are released the more I hear that it’s not the kids that are getting smarter but the exams easier. So in a giant leap of faith, which I have little will at the moment in sharing I ask the question:

Do those who have power over us, seek to control us? and should they?

Answer: they already do and possibly. They already engage and manipulate every facet of our lives. We are educated by their systems, their standards, their subjects. We are subject to their laws, their taxes, their management of their own mandate, a mandate which governs us.

So if exams are getting easier (therefore kids are getting dumber) then surely the systems should change. I remember small amounts of what I learned at school and the bits I do remember are mostly useless because in day to day life they have no relevance. The motto surrounding schooling needs to change to something more like:

You need to stop working to become the best, but instead work to find yourself. It is in realising whom one is, which invokes positive attitudes, understanding and self worth. Ultimately, knowing ones self and ones potential is the catalyst for success.

On the point of whether governments should control us… well we shall see, but keep on reading and I’ll throw as many ideas out there as I can, without you all thinking I’m insane. Anarchy, doesn’t seem to work, but then again maybe it hasn’t been given the right conditions to work. Time for some research.
