Red Ring of Death and what that meant to me

In light of the fact there is still is no concept behind this blog, I’m going to share with you the emotional roller coaster that is xbox all too famous red rings of death. To my dismay this occurred to me only a few hours ago, after having some strange picture issues, I decided to restart the machine…..bam!!! the dreaded lights, all red all flashing….that can’t be good. Slightly worried by this point I start from scratch….unplugging the xbox (and I mean every cable), I proceed to put it all back together again. Fingers crossed I turn it on, normal whirling noise…then again RROD! definitely not a happy bunny. Last resort the towel trick, well not quite, with a little investigation I find that Microsoft will repair it free of charge. Good times indeed. Right now it is sitting somewhere in the depths of Germany waiting to be transported to back to me. But I have notice one thing since I haven’t had it, and that is I feel like I got my life back, I’ve been going out a lot more, I’ve taken pleasure in reading again and on the whole I’m going to try to keep things that way.

Don’t get me wrong, I’m still itching to have one last round on Call of Duty 4, but I’m definitely limiting play to the occasion and not the habit it was before. So the RROD actually could have been the most positive that happened to me in the last month or two, maybe that says more about my life :)

Until next time.
